Avoiding the downsides
One of the most common complaints we hear about steel garage doors from other suppliers is that they look second-hand after just a few months. This is due to the use of low gauge, or lightweight, steel being used in construction. For our customers in Milton Keynes, Garage Door Workshop uses a thicker steel in order to withstand use, time, and the elements, while making the door easier to operate. We avoid troublesome issues such as twisting or flexing of metal by using modern design techniques such as internal bracing and reinforcement to ensure that your steel garage door does not sag and remains easy to use for years to come. Corrosion is also a common issue with steel garage doors, so we use modern automated manufacturing and corrosion protection systems to avoid rust along the rivets and galvanised steel of your garage door. We also fight against the shabby, peeling paint appearance of many existing steel garage doors by using factory applied coating such as satin or low gloss powder, which maintain colour well, are easy to wipe clean, require little upkeep, and are resistant to abrasions.
